A traditional dogi can be acquired once you decide to continue. ## What is Aikido? Aikido is a budo — a martial way drawn from traditional Japanese martial arts. We focus on movement, balance, posture, and state of mind, and how these influence your connection with others. In Aikido we look inwards to make changes in ourselves so we can lead others to change. Instruction is focused on the basic principles of Aikido and their applications in technique, taught at your level of ability. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.raleighaikido.com): Overview, weekly schedule, intro to the dojo and practice. - [About](https://www.raleighaikido.com/about): Dojo story, the practice of Aikido, and the volunteer instructors. - [Visit](https://www.raleighaikido.com/visit): Class schedule, dues, location, and contact information. ## Affiliations - [Aikido Association of America](https://www.aaa-aikido.com) - [Triangle Aikido](https://triangleaikido.weebly.com/) - [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/Joshinkan-Dojo-137758059571468/) The dojo is a 501(c) nonprofit.
